On an early spring RV trip, I stopped off at Lake Isabella - a convenient halfway point between Mammoth Lakes and Bakersfield. I was tired and road weary, and pulled into the KOA campground just for a night's rest before heading on. The temptation to just kick back, do a bit of reading, and call it a night nearly kept me indoors, but I urged my husband to go on just a short walk before dinner. I did not expect much, but I always carry my camera. Just as we returned to the campsite, this wonderful light show appeared. I am so glad that I overcame my urge to kick back on this evening. You just never know what surprises wait for those who wander and wonder.
