In June, 2011, I made my first trip to Redwood National Park in Humboldt County. The foggy summer mornings n redwood groves are ideas for photography. I got to the grove by 6 am and wandered around alone for three hours before seeing a soul. It is tricky to fame a composition in these chaotic woods, but I finally found this vista of layers upon layers of trunks in the fog which I felt really captured the spirit of this special place. I was glad to have captured this view - the sun came out the next day - and that was the end of my opportunity to photograph these giants in the fog.
